A Brief History Of Cloud Computing

Cloud computing changed the workload for local computers within businesses across the globe. The cloud alleviated the pressures of running numerous applications on local computers.

Server farms, or a network of computers that make up the cloud provide the heavy-lifting of running applications, decreasing the hardware and software demands on localized computers.

In addition to running all business applications for you, the cloud stores your data. Your computer's hard drive or other local storage device no longer hold the massive data, it saves to a remote database and / or cloud. The Internet provides the connection between your computer and the database. The only software needed on local computers at that point is the cloud computing system's interface software, which can be as simple as a Web browser.
